I bought a cheesecake and was very pleased! Very tender, fresh and melts in your mouth🤤 I was served by a very nice and positive waitress. The price is also good. I recommend this place🤭 I plan to come back and take some other cake

The Bormouth Cafe is our favourite stop when shopping in Darmstadt. The cakes are delicious and they have the best Florentiner in the world! The first floor offers lovely views to the Darmstadter Schloss or Castle and a nice view to the old Rathaus (Baroque).
Went there for brunch and unfortunately did not like the place. Lokation is great, right in the city center, view is nice as well, interior is ok. Cafe is really specious. Service was too slow even though place was not crowded. Food was ok, though I had some discomfort afterwards, so probably something was not right with the food. Conclusion: won't go there again.
Arrogant waitresses and place is definitely stuck in the past: only payment by cash (no debit or credit cards accepted) and when asked for lactose free milk they just said they don't have "special milk".
So if you are lactose intolerant or try to live cash-free, go someplace else.
The restaurant looks inviting, but their cheese cream cake wasn’t tasty.
Although the Markplatz branch of Bormuth has a good location, you can easily forget what you ordered until it arrives. For example, I only ordered a capuchino and fresh cheese bread, but the bread arrived at the table 20-25 minutes after the capuchino. This is not my first experience here. They need to improve their service quality with fast service.
Also, after you sit down, you cannot easily make eye contact with the service staff. They seem to be hiding from the customers.
I hope they improve their weaknesses as soon as possible.
I love coming here for a slice of cake during the day. I can also recommend the different types of hot chocolate if you are a fan. They also have lunch.
As it's name suggest it's a good bakery.
